Using AI for automation

👋 Hello everyone and welcome to our new subscribers,

We're delighted to welcome you back after a few months' absence for this ninth edition of the SmartMyData newsletter. We'll be back every 15 days to keep you up to date with the latest news from the world of automation and RPA.

Today, we've decided to focus the newsletter mainly on artificial intelligence, with a number of interesting innovations in this sector. Happy reading!

📰 What happened at SmartMyData

We set up a form generator on the platform. There are a large number of these on the market, but the aim was to ensure that the data requested did not pass through an ancillary service.

Generating a form can serve different purposes; for example, for our customers, requesting different information such as a diploma when a user registers on the platform.

Here, the rendering is rough, but you can customize the style sheet for a cool design.

The big advantage of having it integrated into the platform is that it's possible to fetch fields from the database (contact list, diplomas etc...) and of course save directly to the database. Another strong point of this development is that it is of course possible to trigger a series of automated and personalized actions based on the form responses (sending an onboarding email, etc.).

❤️ Write a newsletter in 5 minutes?

What if we told you it was possible to create a newsletter in 5 minutes with the help of AI?

This is one of the new challenges taken up by Flint. Flint is a collective artificial intelligence-based information explorer that automatically sends out a personalized selection of quality articles every day in the form of a newsletter. A few days ago, the company launched a new tool that lets you create an intelligent newsletter ready for distribution in just 5 minutes! We'll let you take a look at Benoit Raphael's demo. Well done to him and his team!

Now we just need to call the service via an API, and we'll be able to integrate it on the Smartmydata platform :)

🌎 An update on automated content writing

Interested in automatically generating content for your products, blogs, videos and even quotes?  There are several tools in this field. We've tested Anyword.

All you have to do is describe the subject of your content in a few sentences, and you're done. Artificial intelligence via NLP (natural language processing) technology automatically generates and optimizes content for your websites, social media, emails and advertising.

The results are impressive. Re-reading is still recommended, but in all the tests we've carried out, the techno detects an important feature of the subject and highlights it with coherent arguments.

At SmartMyData, we prefer to use Anyword, as the tool has an API that we'll soon be integrating into our platform.
We asked him: "Why use a MySQL database? Here's his answer:

"MySQL is one of the world's most popular open source relational database management systems. It has been around for over 30 years, powering some of the biggest websites and applications in existence today, including Facebook, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn and many others.

To date, there are over 5 million active installations worldwide, in every sector from retail to finance to education. MySQL offers an easy-to-use interface for developers and is capable of scaling easily according to your needs, making it perfect for deploying cloud-native applications.

The system is easy to use and offers a wide range of uses, including Web applications, big data analysis and more. MySQL is fully scalable and has no single point of failure, ensuring high availability of your data.
Why implement this database? The first reason is that it's easy to set up. All you have to do is open an account, which takes just a few minutes, and you can start using the services immediately! The second reason is that it's a scalable service: whatever the volume of traffic or data generated by your application, we can manage it easily, because we have plenty of resources at our disposal.  And finally, it's cost-effective: even though we offer top-quality services, they remain affordable compared to other companies in the sector."

😊 Le bien être au travail

A survey of over 6,000 professionals worldwide shows that 70% of those questioned claim that automating their work environment increases their satisfaction and productivity. A godsend for the world of automation, which is constantly proving its effectiveness in improving employees' quality of life at work. 📣 The quote to slip into an RPP dinner

"Robots aren't going to replace humans, they're going to make their work a lot more human. Difficult, degrading, demanding, dangerous, boring - these are the tasks robots will take on."

Sabine Hauert, Co-founder of Robohub.org

Sabine Hauert's quote is interesting, because although it's addressed to so-called "mechanical" robots, it could very well be addressed to software robots such as RPA. Ultimately, whatever the nature of the robot, its aim will always be to replace tedious tasks.
